Day 29

11.21am

The exciting thing is that I am closer to doing my next photo. Even though my measurements and weight hasn't changed, my clothes are fitting differently so I look forward to seeing if there are visual improvements.

Alright, so last night I decided to focus my attention on dinners. Unfortunately me body seemed to think this meant not car about breakfast but it doesn't.

I say that because I went to the bakery on my way home from walking the dog and brought a milkshake and caramel slice. That's all I had for breakfast but this is an absolutely revolting way to start my day. It doesn't set me up with anything good! AT ALL!!

So I'm going to concentrate on ensuring all my meals are home made.

11.26am

I've had a serving of Kumara Chips for a snack this morning which totaled 190 calories. A little more than I thought they'd have but still healthier than potato chips.

I've brought a salad into work for lunch. It's cooked chicken schnitzel and garden greens, I also have a protein bar in my bag for a snack.

By the time I get to dinner I will have eaten 1770 calories today. If my breakfast had been good I'd be looking at 500 less than that.

2.16pm

I've had my lunch. It was very good. I forgot how much I like a Chicken Schnitzel Salad, so I need to make sure I have this more.

My lunch also equaled a total of 300 calories. That's good!

3.38pm

I've had my protein bar. I'm sort of starting to enjoy the taste of it. It's not making me ridiculously full like the first time I had it but it definitely does the trick.

3.41pm

I've decided that I want to make a eating plan/diary type/book thing. Not quite certain how it's going to go, but I'll have a look at it tonight

Final Note:

For Dinner I had a bunless burger so that's good but I possibly could have portioned it better and I didn't need the snacks that I eat before dinner. This week I'm having a break from going to the gym after work because my personal trainer is away.

I'm finding that I really hungry straight after work, but when I've got the gym on I've never noticed that I'm really hungry at this time. So I have got to put it down to boredom of having nothing to day. Therefore I need to work out if I'm actually hungry and focus on my portions and less carbs.

Day 28

10.35am

For Breakfast this morning I had a piece of chicken schnitzel and half a cup of stri fry lamb strips. I considered cooking eggs and bacon but went for something easier. Now this breakfast was low in carbs and filling so I believe that makes it OK.

I'm very sore form the gym. Doing powerlifting two days in a row takes it's toll. I will see if I feel up to going for a walk after work but honestly I could be too sore and coach has said that the rest of this week is a rest week.

Final Note:

Well I wrote a lot yesterday (NOT) but anyway, here is a re-cap of my day.

I had a Caramel Slice for Morning Tea - the idiot that I am.

Lunch was a beef stri fry, it's just meat and vegetables (more veg than meat) and will average around 400 calories.

Afternoon Tea I had my 'Lo Carb' protein bar.

Dinner was a collect of vegetables, wedges and satay chicken kababs. Without the wedges, this was a very good meal.

What I learn't from today is that so long as my lunches a pre-made they are excellent. Now I need to focus my energy on sorting out another area of eating. My first focus is going to be Dinner, as this is the meal I have right before bed, therefore it needs to be smaller than what I am eating and low in carbs.

My Power Lifting Goal

Definitely want to hit these milestones in the gym and exceed it.:

Power Lifting

Now I am getting really into this and am quite excited about competing in it after I get married. I look forward to seeing how far I can go and I love it! I like the buzz that it gives me and I like the way it makes me feel.

I enjoy being able to tell people how much I lifted the other day and I finally feel like my strength is going to count for something. I have always been quite strong person and honestly a little embarrassed to be, but I am not longer embarrassed to be stronger and have muscle definition. I am excited to get it.

Now the first important thing to note is that I do not want to get BIGGER. I don't want to get a body builders body which is like this:

As much as I have huge admiration for women who are body builders, I don't quite want my frame to look like this.

The thing that I've noticed a lot of people don't realize is that power lifters bodies are actually very different than a body builder.

Their bodies are toned and strong, but their muscles aren't bigger they are just more obvious than not.

That's may aim, tight, toned and muscular.

I've done a bit of research around women using power lifting for body sculpting. So I've got a few before and after pictures to show you.

This is a huge motivating factor for me in really getting into power lifting, but like I said above, I'm excited to see what I can do with it
