What we need to do instead of diet is alter our eating lifestyle. Concentrate on making permanent changes to our lives, instead of temporary ones. I heard someone once describe a diet at coldral. It's like treating the symptoms of the cold without dealing with the causes of it.
I'm working on dealing with the cause of being overweight.
"Overweight. That's a very heavy word, it represents a very heavy subject."

Therefore my focus is on setting guidelines for my lifestyle. This is proving to be an on-going situation while I experience with ideas, make mistakes and discover what these guidelines can be for me.
Naturally I call these guidelines because there could be times in my daily life where it would be impracticable to follow them, these times would be special occasions (as I have spoken of in the past) or not having enough time to meet them.
So far I have come up with a few guidelines and they are as follows:
- Bring a packed lunch to work
- Drink two - three bottles of water a day
- Drink Tea - mainly Green Tea
Three, so far. Well that's not what's going to stay. I've got a few more ideas floating around my head that I am going to work on.
- One bought lunch a week
- Spend less than $10 on extra food weekly
- Substitute a few meals for a protein shake
- Snack only on fruit or low card bars
- Eat Fresh
- Eat wholemeal Carbs
- Start the day with a glass of water and a freshly squeezed Lemon
- Don't drink my calories
- No more fast foods
- No carbs for dinner
- Don't eat in one sitting more than you can burn in 1 workout
That's what I have so far
